Dad Tied Up 4-Year-Old Daughter So He Could Play Video Games

A Florida father was charged with child
abuse after allegedly tying up his 4-
year-old daughter with rope in the
kitchen of the family home so he could
play video games in peace .
Heath Howe, 27, grabbed his daughter
while she was watching television and
left her tied up alone in the kitchen of
their house in Sarasota so he could play
“bad video games,” the girl told police.
When the child’s mother and a friend
returned from the gym to find the girl
tied up, the mother did nothing, the
sheriff’s office said.
The mother’s friend freed the girl, who
was left with rope marks on both arms,
deputies said.
Officials do not believe it was an
isolated incident.

B.G. Facing 8-10 Years in Prison, Sentencing Postponed

Former Hot Boyz rapper B.G. is facing up to 10
years in prison after he, along with two others,
were allegedly found to be in possession of three
weapons while driving in a stolen van in New
Orleans back in November of 2009.
According to the New Orleans Times Picayune,
the sentencing for B.G. was initially set for April
25 but has been postponed until June 13th.
Back in December, B.G. entered a guilty plea to
felony possession of a firearm along with witness
tampering. But prosecutors contend that there is
no agreement in place and are looking to hand
the rapper a longer stint behind bars.

America that he will in fact be producing the
upcoming "Annie" remake, which will be starring
his daughter Willow Smith. Jay-Z has been
recruited to write new songs for the film, and he
will officially serve as the musical director for the
big budget remake.
Will Smith announced that the film will have an
updated script to go along with the modified
story which will take place in present day New
York, as opposed to the original film, which was

T-Boz in Danger of Getting Car Repoed

T-Boz may be catching a ride on the passenger
side of her best friend's ride, as Honda is on the
brink of repossessing her 2005 Honda Odyssey
she's failed to make payments on.
Honda filed a lawsuit in Georgia, which reveals
that the company has requested that the judge
give them the go ahead to take the car back.
This comes after string of misfortunes for the
singer, who filed for bankruptcy in 2011, but
failed to fill out all the paperwork, which led to
her missing out on the protection that
bankruptcy provides. Now, she's not protected
from any of her creditors.

Nicki Minaj Says Irv Gotti Inspired "Moment 4 Life"

The majority of Nicki Minaj's songs possess a
unique rhythm and style that only she can
conjure and express on a track. But going back to
her 2010 smash hit "Moment 4 Life" featuring
Drake, the female artist says she caught
inspiration from close friend Irv Gotti.
"When I was writing my first album, Pink Friday, I
had a conversation with one of my really good
friends, his name is Irv Gotti, and we had this
really interesting conversation where he told me,
'Enjoy this moment, you'll never get this moment
ever again, you'll never be the new girl on the
scene ever again.'"
Nicki took his advice and after hearing the
instrumental for the song, she says it felt like she
was really caught in the moment.
"And so I went into the studio. I heard this
amazing track, and right there in the moment I
kind of wished I could freeze everything that was
happening because it just felt so exciting, people
were all of a sudden interested in me. As an
underground artist, I wasn't really used to that."

Game & Metta World Peace Collaborate on Song

Earlier this week, Metta World Peace and his Los
Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the NBA
playoffs, but World Peace, formerly known as
Ron Artest, is not going on vacation just yet.
He's using the early part of the off-season to
work on his new mixtape titled "Passion" and
surprisingly enough, the Queensbridge athlete
was able to land Compton rapper Game as a
feature on a track called "Represented".
The two even shot a video for the track, although
there is no timetable as to when it will be
released.

3 Charged In Carjacking Of Pastor Marvin Winans, Winans Hoping This Sparks A Change Of The Outlook Of Black Men In Detroit

Three young men were arraigned
Sunday in the assault and carjacking
of popular Detroit pastor and gospel
singing icon Marvin Winans. The
office of Wayne County Prosecutor
Kym Worthy identified the suspects as
Detroit residents Montoya Givens and
Christopher Moorehead, both 20, and
Brian K. Young, 18, of Macomb
County’s Clinton Township. They are
charged with carjacking, unarmed
robbery and conspiracy, said Maria
Miller, Worthy’s spokeswoman.
The charges carry up to life in prison.
The men appeared in Detroit’s 36th
District Court and were ordered held
on $200,000 bonds. Their preliminary
examinations, in which a judge
decides where there’s enough
evidence for the case to go to trial, are
June 1. A prosecutor’s spokeswoman
said Sunday she didn’t think the
defendants had lawyers yet.
Winans, 54, was attacked Wednesday
afternoon while pumping gas in
Detroit. The robbers took his sport
utility vehicle, Rolex watch, cash and
credit cards. Worthy said she was
pleased with the closing of the case
but added a dig at the effectiveness of
Detroit police. She said she was
“buoyed by the fact that this case was
well investigated by the police and
that we were able to charge this case
quickly. However, with the proper
resources this could be done in all
cases.”
Check out what Pastor Winans had to
say about his unfortunate situation:
Four days after he was robbed and
carjacked outside a Detroit gas station,
the Rev. Marvin Winans stepped to
his pulpit amid cheers and applause.
The 54-year-old pastor and renowned
gospel musician told the crowd that
packed Perfecting Church on Sunday
that he was never afraid during the
assault.
Nor is he bitter. Rather, he said, “I’m
sad.” Sad, he said, because young men
have lost their direction, and instead
prey on their community.
Speaking to reporters before the
church service — an injured finger
still bandaged on his left hand —
Winans said he would reach out to his
assailants, who later that day were to
be charged in court. And he called on
the city’s young men, fathers, business
owners and others to take personal
responsibility. Young men need to see
their self-worth and their role in the
larger community, he said.
“The city is fixable, and it starts with
the men of the city, in particular the
black men,” he told reporters. “And I
… want to urge all of you men who
hear me to go and get your sons. I’m
not bitter. I’m not upset. I’m saddened
by what has taken place. But I’m also
inspired. We have to make a change
in this city.”
